For several years the thought of quartz watch did not cross my mind. I
entered the world of automatic watches years ago and there really is no
coming back, at least until now.
Being a Breitling, Omega aficionado, a Victorinox with a Valjoux 7750, 7751 movement was as low down the scale I would consider as Victorinox knows how to make an attractive and well built wristwatch. I always felt like I had a small machine on my wrist and was part of this exclusive (not so exclusive) club of those who know an automatic is the only "real watch" to consider. Sweep hand is the teller.
And then along comes accuracy, I thought I had finally found the watch for me- a Breitling 01 movement with a real world accuracy of +/- 2 secs a day. Very cool!
Along comes this a salesman showing me a different kind of wrist machine that appealed to the "techie, geek and accuracy buff"- a solar power, radio controlled perpetual calendar watch with some good aesthetics, this over sized 43mm watch has enough technology to keep me busy and a handsome face.
Kept near a window facing west, as opposed to my others in their watch winders, this synchronizes at 2 or 3AM or on demand to tune that half a second loss that may occur over while, I have not seen any loss/gain of time after 10 days.
This may be a toy and may be a phase but I love having the accuracy and while rushing to appointments, I know that my watch is giving me the exact to the second time. I give this watch 4.5 stars as the face could be a bit clearer with arrow hands but overall, Citizen did an outstanding job putting it all together!!
This is a very nice package. I love it!
